I'm a reluctant newcomer to dCity. I'm chronicling my endeavor. This is part 6, earlier parts are below. To skip the boring stuff and go to the animated fun, just go to Part 4.
- Part 1 where I explain being suckered into a game I don't want to play.
- Part 2 discussing some size envy issues.
- Part 3 where I make some progress and realize this "game" is really a computer-economics-mini-model.
- Part 4 where I have some animation fun with dCity, including graphic violence.
- Part 5 where I talk death and taxes.
- And here, part 6.
Well, I guess I'm suckered into this dCity game for good now. At least for the foreseeable future. This suckering is with reluctance (see Part 1), but a couple of people have been too kind to me for me to simply give it up and drop out.
Initially, @forykw gave me 800 SIM to get going.
Now, @boycharliefamily gave me a grant of 3000 SIM to help get me going up a level or two or three (see link below).
Abraham Lincoln once said, “I'm a success today because I had a friend who believed in me and I didn't have the heart to let him down.”
So, my question: What do you suggest that I do?
I could really use some pointers on what I need to do next. I'm very much still learning. Below is my city and my funding. One hard-and-fast rule that I set for myself is to not funnel monies into this endeavor from outside of it.
When you're playing on house money, you don't go to the ATM. So, the funds that you see are what I have to fiddle with.
What do you suggest that I do?
Leave a comment and pointer if you don't mind.
